We have spruced up and expanded our Knitting Circle.

Thanks to the generous support from Claire of Tom's Treasures and new

chairs fromour great friend, Karen Rosler, we have transformed our

gathering space into a cozy, comfortable place to spend an hour or

several - knitting, pattern browsing, practicing, learning, dreaming

or just drinking coffee and schmoozing.

Recent Events

The  4Corners Knitting crew has been busy this summer.  We've participated in River Fest, held on Main Street in Narrowsburg; the first annual Fiber Festival which was held at Fort Delaware this year, and just this past labor day weekend, held an origami demonstration in celebration of Logging Days.

Check out some photos of these events in our photo gallery.  We have also been written up in the Pike County Press which you can reade about here.  And on the Cottage Works web site here.

Now we are looking forward to some relaxation and organizing our new class schedule for the fall.  Please check back with us soon to see our class schedule and the new yarns we'll be getting in.

Can I just brag on Jenny Snedeker for a minute?

Since joining us at 4Corners, her designs have been a wonderful focal point for the shop - very popular with all of you who have seen her work.

Well, we are so proud to note that our confidence in her and pride in her work is shared by others.

Her designs are now being featured in Knit Circus Magazine and her latest one will be in the Knit Bits Newsletter from Berroco.

Please come by and see her stuff - You won't be disappointed!

Jenny is in the shop on Fridays and Saturdays - Drop in and say hello!

as always,

Wendy

We hope to see you there!

Accessories is the name of the Summer Game

Looking forward to RiverFest in July got me to thinking about what I want to be making now that's it's summer.  Something easy, quick, and cool to the touch certainly but then I thought something practical, useful, and clever, absolutely and then I thought something glitzy, sparkly, and scads of fun.

Here are some results and some works in progress.......

tell me what you think

First entries on the themes of

Easy Quick and Cool  from our own Jenny Snedeker

Note: This sweet ensemble is made with our new Papiro from Laines du Nord

Practical, Useful and Clever

Circular Needle Cases    We've got em!

Knitting Bags      We've got these too!

........and finally  Beautiful, Glitzy and Sparkly

This Sachet filled with Lavender is our Project of the Month

Jenny used the seductive Seduce from Berroco.

Sunday Sit & Knit 1:00 - 3:00

It's Winter!!!  Got Cabin Fever????

Take two hours for yourself and join us on Sundays for conversation and refreshments while knitting your current project. Meet others who love knitting as much as you do. Perfect way for newbies to learn from others who are further down the "knitting mania" path.

Bring an ongoing project or start a new one. Bring yourself and a friend (or two)

We are working on creating a cozy area in the back of Tom's Treasures among Claire's fun furniture finds. In the meantime, our little space may be small but its servicable AND its where the yarn is!!!
